DAVE 2024 Part One startet wie immer mit dem DAVE Opening, diesmal in der Groovestation. Der Abend ist in diesem Jahr lokalen Liveacts vorbehalten. Direkt im Anschluss startet an gleicher Stelle der DAVE Slot Fighter. Das DJ-wechsel-dich-Format zählt zu den beliebtesten Veranstaltungen aus den letzten DAVE-Jahren und dürfte schnell für den richtigen Drive im Festival sorgen. Beim Producer Meeting in der Koralle kommen ebenfalls am Donnerstag etablierte Produzent*innen mit Nachwuchs-Beatbastler*innen zusammen.

Der Freitag startet mit der DAVE-Filmreihe Music in Motion im Thalia Kino. Dort läuft die Dresden-Premiere der Doku »Teaches of Peaches« über die unvergleichliche Allround-Künstlerin aus Kanada. Dabei wirft DAVE Future in der Koralle ein Schlaglicht auf zwei der heißesten jungen Crews der Stadt, während DAVE x Poco Paradiso im Gartenlokal Fortschritt Italo, Latin und Scando Disco vermengt.

Beim DAVE DJ Workshop am Samstag werden Einsteiger*innen mit den nötigsten Skills am DJ-Pult versorgt, um vielleicht im Folgejahr bei der alljährlichen großen DAVE-Party im Sektor Evolution zu spielen. Die findet aber natürlich auch schon 2024 statt. Bei DAVE ON! zelebrieren 22 Artists aus Buenos Aires, Detroit, New York, Barcelona, Prag, Berlin, Leipzig, Görlitz und Dresden 15 Stunden lang und auf drei Floors die Energie der Clubkultur für eine weltoffene sächsische Metropole. Schon zuvor werden am Abend beim Panelformat Neben der Spur Chancen und Probleme von Awareness in der Clubkultur diskutiert.

Am Sonntag steht zum großen Finale das DAVE Closing an, das mit einer Musikdoku inklusive anschließendem Talk sowie Konzerten von zwei absoluten Durchstarter*innen nochmal so eine Art Best of DAVE in den Raum wirft. Wem das alles nicht reicht, der findet mit der DAVE Festivalbar im Plan B immer eine gute Anlaufstation und mit ziemlicher Sicherheit auch das eine oder andere DAVE-Crewmitglied. Und wie jedes Jahr gibt es auch abseits des DAVE-Kernprogramms jede Menge spannende Veranstaltungen in den Locations der Dresdner Clubkultur, quasi als Satelliten-Events.

As always, DAVE 2024 Part One starts with the DAVE Opening, this time at the Groovestation. This year, the evening is reserved for local live acts. The DAVE Slot Fighter will start immediately afterwards at the same location. The DJ-change-you format is one of the most popular events from the last few DAVE years and should quickly get the festival going. At the Producer Meeting in the Koralle on Thursday, established producers will also come together with up-and-coming beat makers.

Friday starts with the DAVE film series Music in Motion at the Thalia cinema. The Dresden premiere of the documentary „Teaches of Peaches“ about the incomparable all-round artist from Canada will be screened there. At the same time, DAVE Future will be shining a spotlight on two of the city’s hottest young crews at the Koralle, while DAVE x Poco Paradiso will be mixing Italo, Latin and Scando Disco at the Gartenlokal Fortschritt.

At the DAVE DJ workshop on Saturday, beginners will be given the necessary skills on the DJ booth to perhaps play at the big annual DAVE party in the Evolution sector the following year. Of course, this will also take place in 2024. At DAVE ON!, 22 artists from Buenos Aires, Detroit, New York, Barcelona, Prague, Berlin, Leipzig, Görlitz and Dresden will celebrate the energy of club culture for a cosmopolitan Saxon metropolis for 15 hours on three floors. In the evening, opportunities and problems of awareness in club culture will be discussed in the panel format Next to the Trail.

On Sunday, the grand finale will be the DAVE Closing, which will feature a music documentary followed by a talk and concerts by two absolute high-flyers – a kind of Best of DAVE. If that’s not enough, the DAVE festival bar at Plan B is always a good place to go and you’re almost certain to meet one or two DAVE crew members. And as every year, there are also plenty of exciting events outside the DAVE core programme in Dresden’s club culture locations, as satellite events so to speak.
